My iPhone is locked up, how do l unlock it

If she already tried (to no avail) a "forced" restart of her 13, using these gestures:

In rapid sequence, press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included).

and if her iPhone is running the latest iOS version (now 18.0.1), it could be a hardware (screen? other internal component?) failure and I suggest that she makes an appointment (*) and have the device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give her all the available options.

(*) She can do it:

• Online:--> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple;
• Contacting a local Apple Store or AASP among the list provided above;
• Using the "Apple Store" app, available and downloadable from AppStore.

It's possible that the charge last night didn't work and the battery is now flat. Unplug the phone and plug it back in again and wait 10 minutes. All being well, you will get 10 minutes of charge and be able to start up your phone.
