Apple warranty covers manufacturing defects, not consumer caused damage. Have your phone inspected by Apple directly and if they determine there is a manufacturing defect, it will be covered under warranty. If they don't find a manufacturing defect, it won't be covered under warranty. Only Apple can make that determination, not anyone here on this user to user only forum.

If you take the phone in for service because it is not working correctly and physical damage......external or internal.......is detected, repairs will not be covered under the normal AppleCare warranty.

For example, if the phone was dropped....causing internal damage.....repairs will not be covered under the normal AppleCare warranty even though the phone is not damaged externally.
