Apple car Play not connecting to my Subaru Crosstrek

Recently I am no longer able to connect the Waze app to my Subaru Crosstrek. I have tried all of the suggestions here as well as googling it. I went to my Subaru dealer and they confirmed that my vehicle is updated with the latest software. I have confirmed that my iPhone is also updated with the latest software (iOS 18.0.1). Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions please!?!?

This may be repeating what you have already tried, but I have no way of knowing that.

Forget the car on the phone
Forget the phone on the car
Reset network settings
Force restart the phone
Re-pair the device to the car

If CarPlay doesn't work like you expect, check your settings, connection, and vehicle compatibility.

I’ve tried all of that as well. The dealer is wondering if it is something with the iOS 18.0.1 update…
