iTunes Match not available on iOS 18

Hey guys,

I have just upgraded to an iPhone 16 and iOS 18 and have discovered that there is currently no way in iOS 18 to sign into the Media & Purchases section using my seperate iCloud account for iTunes Match

Works fine in macOS 15

The only result I got via Google search was someone on Reddit saying that this has been an issue in iOS 18 betas and doesnt appear to have been resolved in the full release of iOS 18 unfortuantely.

Does anyone know if this is a known issue in iOS18 atm? What's the best way for me to raise this with Apple if not?

Thanks

Hey Alex, got there in the end! I just need to signout of my default iCloud in the Media & Purchases section and sign in wit hthe other ID. The messgaging you get during that though is highly confusing and makes you think that you are doing something wrong lol

Thanks for the pointers though, that all helped work through it ;-)

After several steps (including phoning Apple for 30 mins, messaging them for an hour, signing out and back into Media and Purchase, upgrading to iOS 18.1, hard resetting phone etc.) I finally found this:

Settings -> Music -> Sync Library

It then asked me if I want to 'Delete & Replace' my music and I selected that. Then all my iTunes Match music re-appeared like magic.

OK thanks mate, I see the Show Star Ratings option but not the sync library one.

Out of interest do you also use a seperate Apple ID for Media and Purchases to your main iCloud? And if so, where did you sign into that Apple ID? In iOS 17 or macOS you sign in to that account within iCloud / Media & Purchases but on iOS 18 that is forced into using your main iCloud Apple ID.

I think I will go down the route of signing out of iCloud / Media & Purchases next to see if that triggers it to appear
