What part of “no” was unclear? Your phone is NOT compatible with iOS 18.

You will need a new phone if you want ios 18.

An iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X isn't capable of 17 or above; they require an A12 or better CPU. The people on these boards are mostly other customers and can't update your unit in any case.

The iPhone X is not a new phone. Apple released it in November 2017, and discontinued it in September 2018.

If you bought an iPhone X recently, and someone told you that it was a new phone, and you believed it, you got scammed. The very best scenario would be that it was a new-in-box phone, that had sat unsold in some back room. That's an exceedingly unlikely scenario, and even if it was the case, it wouldn't make the phone a "new" phone in terms of its hardware design.

Adding emojis like 😩 to your posts will not change these facts.

The only help that we can offer you is to let you know that iOS 16 is the end of the line for the iPhone X.

The iPhone X originally ran iOS 11.0.1, and Apple provided five major version updates. It can run the latest release of iOS 16. It will never be able to run iOS 17 or above. You cannot update it to iOS 18.
