Safari is not opening on my iMac, running macOS 10.15
safari is not opening.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15
Launch the Safari app while holding a Shift key while opening it from Applications or the Dock. That action loads Safari with no previously loaded websites or tabs.
Release the Shift key when Safari opens.
