using old keyboard/trackpad for Mac Mini M1 2020?

can i use my 2009-A1314 keyboard and 2009-A1339 trackpad with a MacMini M1 - Nov.2020?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Yes the old AA battery powered keyboard, trackpad and mouse will work with the new Mac Mini. However you will need to use a USB keyboard and mouse to do the initial Mac mini setup and then pair the older keyboard, trackpad and mouse.


FWIW most any USB Logitech or PC keyboard and mouse will work for the initial setup. Plus you should keep them handy, for battery changes and general troubleshooting.


Personally I use Logitech mk120 combo with all of my Mac mini's instead of Apple wireless keyboards and mice.
