Deleted apps appearing in Settings

iphone XSMAX ios 17.5.1


i have apps showing in Settings that have been deleted or not showing anywhere else on the phone ,


When i tap on them in settings it opens the app ? but they do not show in any app folder


How do i actually remove these apps and stop this behaviour,

Successfully deleting an App:


Get these Apps' Icons Back:


Use Drag & Drop on the Home Screen:

I may be still on your iPhone's App Library, but not in the Home Screen. So, tap on the Home Screen. Then, hold your finger on the far-right edge of the screen. Next, swipe your finger in from the right, Home Screen by Home Screen. Next Drag & Drop the apps back over. Then, see fi you can delete it.


then...


Once deleted, restart our iPhone.

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Shut Down (bottom item)
  4. Swipe: to your finger to shut down the iPhone
  5. Power On: your iPhone, and see if all is removed.
