What is the exact model of your Mac? You can get this information by entering the system serial number on the check coverage page here (please do not enter the serial number on the forums since it is considered personal information):

What version of macOS were you using before your "Sequoia update" that you are referencing here?

Then shows desktop view.

Do you mean that you see your Desktop & wallpaper?

Try booting into Safe Mode to see if that makes any difference.

Boot into Recovery Mode and run Disk Utility First Aid on the hidden Container. Within Disk Utility click "View" and select "Show All Devices" so that the hidden Containers appear on the left pane of Disk Utility. Even if the First Aid summary says everything is "Ok", click "Show Details" and scroll back through the report to see if any unfixed errors are listed. If there are errors, then run First Aid again until the errors are gone. If after several attempts the errors remain, then you will need to perform a clean install of macOS by first erasing the disk followed by reinstalling macOS & restoring from a backup.

Disconnect all external devices while troubleshooting. There is no need for them. If you were restoring from a backup, then perhaps you are bringing the problem back again. If you performed a clean install, then do not restore from a backup, but go through Setup Assistant to create a new admin user account (use a different name so if this works, then you can try using Migration Assistant to restore your old macOS user account from the backup).

Did you install macOS over top of itself, or did you perform a clean install of macOS either by first erasing the disk or by installing Sequoia to a new APFS volume?

How much Free storage space did you have on this boot drive?
