There is nothing to "fix".


An unlocked phone is a Good Thing. It means that you can get your cellular phone service from any carrier that has a network that is compatible with your iPhone, and that is willing to have you as a customer.


If your phone had a SIM restriction, it would mean that you would be forced to use a particular phone company, or go without cellular phone service, whether you liked it or not. This was extremely common in the early days of cell phones, and it is still common if you buy a phone through a carrier plan.
