iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18.0.1 not connecting to iTunes

So whats the issue ?

I was andriod user. I used Move to IOS app on andriod .

Went to the Iphone set everything up like apple pay etc.

I wanted music on the phone so I hopped on Microsoft store in Windows 11 and got Itunes

I used a generic USB C to USB A cable to connect my Iphone to the computer.

Anyhow's windows explorer can pick up the Iphone as Apple Storage.

Itunes picked up the Iphone and nothing happens but it asking me to factory reset the Iphone

So like whats wrong and why so many bugs , all I want to do is just transfer songs in and I hit so many road blocks

I have been to the official apple discord (https://discord.gg/apple) but man are they of no assistance.

Just FYI, that Discord site is not official Apple-provided support. The "official" in their name is misleading and only means that it's official for a particular Reddit subgroup that discusses Apple matters. Apple does not provide support on Discord nor Reddit.

As to your issue with your iPhone and iTunes, perhaps this will help:

Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer - Apple Support

If problems persist, I'd suggest first trying a different USB cable. A "generic" cable might either be charging only and hence not able to carry data, or it may be defective.
