I put what I think is a bad DVD in a superdrive connected to my Macbook Air, M2 2022. Now my laptop doesn't see the superdrive and I can't eject the disk. I tried restarting, restarting holding down the option key and restarting while holding down the mouse/track pad. Nothing ejected the disk. How can I eject the disk?

Five ways to eject a stuck CD or DVD from the optical drive
Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter or paste the following:
/usr/bin/drutil eject
then press RETURN.
If this fails then try this: Boot the computer into Single-user Mode. At the prompt enter the same command as used above. To restart the computer enter "reboot" at the prompt without quotes.

Thanks, but none of that works. The only thing I haven't tried is the last suggestion. I'm a little nervous about that one. The link doesn't work and when I looked it up elsewhere it seemed a bit more complicated.
