How can I add a timer or stopwatch to the menu bar on MacBook Air ? (Sonoma at the moment)

How can I add a timer or stopwatch to the menu bar on MacBook Air ? (Sonoma at the moment). The clock widget doesn't have any thing like this as far as I can see.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.7

As dialabrain said already: when the timer is running, it shows up there in the menu bar.


It is not too much trouble to open the Clock application and start a timer.


Or just use Siri: press the Siri button in the menu bar, or the Siri keyboard shortcut (*) and say "set a timer for twenty minutes". Boom!



(*) You select which keyboard shortcut to summon Siri in System Settings->Siri & Spotlight:
