iPhone third party battery issue

Hi, I bought an iPhone 13 off a third party seller and they said they would give me a new battery now obviously that battery won’t be an original Apple battery and I was wondering if I pay 89$ to send in my iPhone 13 for a new battery will they give me a new or no because it’s a “third party” battery? Thanks

If you're sending it into the reseller to get a "third party" battery, it may be new but won't necessarily have the same kind of quality or guarantee that a genuine Apple battery will provide. I have also heard of people having issues where some functionality can be lost if the battery isn't genuine. I'd say that if it's an option for you, sending it to Apple to replace the battery with an official one would be the best option not only for quality but to make sure you don't lose any functionality of the phone.

Not all third party batteries are 'bad' but there's no way to know until you've spent the money and used it for a while to know how good or bad it will be.
