US IPhone 16 to work in the Philippines using esim

Will an Iphone 16 bought in the US work in the Philippines using esim?

If I buy iPhone 16 from the Apple Store in the US and bring back to the Philippines,

will it work with the local carrier esim?

You'll have to ask your carrier in the Philippines that question. You should know Apple sells iPhone by region and warranty on iPhone is NOT international. If you buy your phone in the US and you have an issue with it, you'll need to hop on a plane and come back to the US for service. It is NEVER a good idea to purchase your iPhone in a country you don't live or will use it.

You'll also need to confirm that the cell frequencies and bands supported in US-sold iPhones are supported by the carriers in the Philippines. Such things vary from country to country.

As lobsterghost said, it's usually a bad idea to purchase an iPhone other than in the country where you live. You may well find, as was said, that you would be unable to get support for a US-sold iPhone in your country.

Regards.
