How can I unlink my AirPods from iCloud account?

I had an iCloud account linked to an AirPods headset, and I deleted the account permanently. I did not know that the headphone was linked to iCloud until when it was sold, and now I want to remove it from iCloud. I want help.

Which model? From: If an item or device is connected to another Apple Account - Apple Support

If you can't remove the device or item and unpair it from an Apple ID you should reset it.

• Learn how to reset your AirPods --> How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

• However: ”If you want to use AirPods (3rd generation) or AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation) that someone else has used, they first need to remove the AirPods from their Apple ID [ If an item or device is connected to another Apple Account - Apple Support ].”

For information about how to delete an Apple Account (formerly “Apple ID”), read this support article —> How to delete your Apple Account - Apple Support

Carefully and thoroughly read that article for information about what happens when you delete your Apple ID account. For example:

"Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple Account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can’t sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted."

From: How to delete your Apple Account - Apple Support

"What happens if I change my mind after I have requested that my account be deleted?

While your request is being processed, you can contact Apple Support [call them at a telephone number for your country --> Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support ] with the unique alphanumeric access code you received, and we’ll help you cancel your request. After your account is deleted, Apple can't cancel the request, reopen your account, or restore your data."

If you can get the old account working again, you can then remove the airpods.

"Your AirPods will appear in the Find My app, but they won't appear in your Apple ID device list. You can remove your AirPods from your account using Find My."

From: Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in --> Check your Apple Account device list to find where you’re signed in - Apple Support

Apple can reset a device if a person can provide sufficient evidence of valid ownership (usually the original receipt from Apple or an authorized retailer —> Keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device - Apple Support ). Try this online here --> https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support (Yes, apparently this does work in this situation too: How to remove previously deleted apple id… - Apple Community )
