Hello, when I run diagnostics on my Macbook Pro M1 I get code NDK001.

Hello, when I run the diagnostics on my Macbook Pro M1 device, I receive the NDK001 code. I did not receive such an error in my previous diagnostic attempts, and even my device did not encounter any problems. I tried this process 3 times with no additional hardware installed on the device and I received the NDK001 error code. Afterwards, I turned keyboard access on and off, and when I tried the test again, this error code did not appear. Could it be a hardware problem with my keyboard that appears from time to time and then disappears? Should I take my product to an Apple store before its warranty expires? Has anyone had a lot of trouble with this problem before? If you have any suggestions, I would like your help.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.0

While in most cases, hardware will show either a failure code or not, that particular code does usually start out with random failure codes and progresses to a complete failure of the Keyboard or Trackpad. There is no time frame that would suggest how much time you have before that failure occurs.

As for warranty repair, it will still be up to Apple to determine if that would be an authorized repair. Without a physical problem with the keyboard or trackpad, they may determine it does not qualify. I still would suggest taking it to them to make that determination. They may also be able to use a more detailed diagnostic of your hardware.
