Why isn't automation easier?

why can't I easily copy and paste automation from one track to the other? does anyone have any tips?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.3

You can... There is just one pitfall. When copying plugin automation, you have to make sure, the same plugin is in the same slot number.

Select, copy, and move automation in Logic Pro for Mac - Apple Support

...and there are many tutorials on youtube.
