Another long-time poster on these forums thinks that a call from a similar number (+353 prefix, but otherwise the same), was "almost certainly a scam call".

I would not risk calling that number back. If you think Apple might have tried to get in contact with you, and you want to get in touch with them to check, look up contact information for Apple Support on Apple's Web site, and use that official contact information instead.
