Syncing Flashcard Max from Mac to iPhone

I've downloaded Flashcard Max from the App store to both my Mac and to my iPhone.

Next, as a test, I created 20 flashcards on my Mac but I can't find a way to sync the cards I've created on my Mac to my iPhone.

A Google search suggested that the App on both devices should be synced to the iCloud but I don't think that's possible.

This is potentially a fantastic app for me but it's about as useful as a chocolate kettle if I can't sync the data to my iPhone!

Any help gratefully received.

There isn't a sync command, but it is possible to export and import card decks. The Mac app has the File > Export > Export Cards command to export a deck as a file with a .FlashCardMax extension. The iOS app has an Import Cards command, which you get to by tapping the icon with the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner ("hamburger icon"). I moved the file via a 3rd party app (FileBrowser), but I see that iCloud Drive is also one of the options, which I have not tried myself. I was not able to move files via the On My iPad folder option.

If your Mac is set up for file sharing, it may be easier to use the Files app on iOS: use the icon at top of screen in the Files app that is a circle with 3 dots in it and connect to your Mac. Then, your Mac's disk drive will be visible in the iOS FlashCardMax when you Import Cards.
