seagate harddisc not visible in MacBook

I have a MacBook Air 2022. When I connect my external harddisc (seagate) it is not visible. The harddisc supposed to be visible at the desktop (the settings are oke). But I still can't see it.

I also checket it on the other MacBook Air we have at home en when I connect the harddisc whit that one the its visible. I just don't get why I can't see it in my new laptop.

On Mac notebooks with Apple Silicon processors, you must approve the connection of new USB or Thunderbolt devices. Could this be the issue when connecting the external HDD to the newer MacBook Air?
