How to use Siri by typing Instead of talking on iPhone 15 Plus?

Under General menu, third item is applecare and warranty. No siri listed.

Under Accessibility, third down is display & text size. No siri.

Maybe it's different with 15+. But it sounds like something that should be an option, to turn on type to siri

I am on the ios 17.7.

Off subject: My phone is supposed to let me know when to update. A rep took me in a few days ago and we found update was available, which brought me to the 17.7. No red dot on settings ever indicated there was an update waiting.

And, now that you mention it, I see there is an option to upgrade to ios 18. Is there any reason that you think I might not want to upgrade? I wish it was necessary instead of giving me a choice.

Thank you so much for this information. So, I will have to upgrade eventually to stay secure. Since I'm still wending my way around 15+ from 8+, I best bide my time before upgrading. My husband explained to me the difference between phone storage and rams, cuz I was going like wait I have 128 gbs of storage.

Also, my desktop copilot says its best to back up before doing the upgrade. I don't buy icloud space, so I'm not able to get a full back up. This never really mattered to me cuz I move pix to computer and all my google stuff syncs. Not sure what i'll do when the time comes. Spend the money, probably, cuz it Sounds like the upgrade is like starting over.

Hmm. There is nothing with word siri in my accessibility menu.
