For some reason the Mac has decided not to let Outlook mail work, although it has done previously.
I tried the usual delete the old account and set up and add as a new one, but still saying username or password not recognised.
Outlook mail functioning perfectly on iPad and iPhone, just issue on Mac

Try some basics such as restarting in Safe Mode and then restarting and then re-attempting the password. If that fails, remember Outlook is a Microsoft product which means you should be checking on a Outlook for Mac or an Office for Mac forum.
