iPhone 15 Pro warranty date issue after iOS 18 update

Hello,

My name is Arman. On September 25, 2024, I bought an iPhone 15 Pro. At the time of purchase, it had a one-year warranty from Apple and iOS 17 installed. Later, I updated it to iOS 18. After the update, the purchase date changed to January 1, 2007, which caused the phone’s settings to show that the warranty had expired. The website also shows that the warranty has expired based on the serial number.

Kind regards,

Arman

Where did you buy it? My best guess is that you were scammed by the seller.

If you bought it directly from Apple contact their support.

Note that both of the above have options to receive a callback or chat

Also, are you using it in the country where you bought it? An iPhone warranty is only valid in the country of purchase, except that the EU counts as one “country” for warranty purposes.
