MacBook usb hub needs reconnecting after every restart

I have M1 pro macbook and I’m using a type c usb hub to connect my usb 3.0 storage and logitech keyboard and mouse. It work fine until I shut down and restart my MacBook, then usb hub shows powered on but nothing works, even usb pen drive will be disconnected even it’s plugged in. And when I remove it and reconnect it to MacBook everything starts working fine.

I’m using Sonoma 14.6.1 OS and it is same with multiple usb hubs I’ve tried and consulted with some friends.

Hubs Not Working After a Restart:

A. Verify the Connection:

First off, see if the headphones are is even seen:

  1. Hold Down: the Option key
  2. Click: the Apple menu
  3. Choose: System Information or System Report
  4. Select: USB from the list on the left
  5. Look For: the hub

B. Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:

(Applies to Intel-Basel Macs Only) Sometimes changes (i.e. Updates) are made to the system and then settings (i.e. USB Ports) become corrupted, technically. So, reset both on your Mac. So, reset the SMC and reset the NVRAM or PRAM. It might take three tries. to fix this. So, be certain you have the time to do so.

Start With This:

C. Boot in Safe Mode:

In Safe ModeLogin Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, attempting another restart. For instructions, go here: How to Use safe Mode on your Mac - Apple Support

D. Try a New Admin User:

What happens when you create a new administrator user, and log into it? Do you still get this error? If not, then it is likely an error with the current user. If so, then it is likely an error with your Mac.

E. Externally-Powered USB Hub:

If it comes down to it, then use an externally-powered USB hub --one that powers from an external source along with your Mac. You'l find plenty on Amazon.
