Regarding my MacBook Air M1, can a finger touch ID be added in some way?

My MacBook Air M1 does not have touch ID, Can I add finger ID or a device in order to use the most requested form of ID?

The MacBook Air M1 has a Touch ID sensor and supports Touch ID. See: MacBook Air (M1, 2020) - Technical Specifications - Apple Support

You should be able to go to Apple menu > System Settings > Touch ID & Password and set up Touch ID as described in Use Touch ID on Mac - Apple Support

Is that Setting not there?
