How long does it take to get a refund to Apple Pay?

Hello I had tried to purchase a gift on Etsy. I paid with my Apple Pay. The merchant couldn’t ship my item, so I asked for a refund…multiple times. Every time I received the message that my refund was successful, but not even 5 minutes later I receive a message stating something went wrong and my refund was unsuccessful. This has happened 3 times. Is there a certain way to get refunded to my Apple Pay?

Apple and Apple Pay are not involved in the refund process. Once the merchant approves a refund or return, funds are transferred from merchants bank, through his credit card processor and then to your bank (credit card/debit card credit).

Please contact the support team at the bank that issued your payment method and file a dispute against the merchant, if necessary.
