hi, trying to get my mums apple wallet activated. I have searched through this forum and taken the suggested actions. “double click side button” in “wallet and Apple Pay” was already enabled so I disabled this and turned the phone off and have since enabled it and nothing. I changed some settings in accessibility - “side button” section. When I change “click speed” it still doesn’t work. Any suggestions please

If it's turning off the screen, you are double clicking it too slow. It should be a quick double click.
You can even double click while the screen is off, and it should when done correctly activate it.

This is not the issue. I am using it the same way I would on my own iPhone and it works on mine without fault. Doesn’t mattter if I press quickly or slowly - it locks everytime
What iPhone is this then? Is it the iPhone XS in the device line on your origina post? Or a different iPhone?
Does it have Touch ID or Face ID?
Have you tried restarting the iPhone?
