No internet and incorrect date and time.

I turned on my MacBook Air 2018 and noticed the date and time was incorrect. Nothing I tried would work.

Then I noticed I had no internet, even though it shows connected to WiFi with a strong signal.

Any idea what I can do to set this right?

Do you have other devices that are successfully using your Wi-Fi connection? If not, then this may be an issue with your Internet provider and you'll need to call their support and discuss the issue with them.

If other devices work, then I can think of one other thing to suggest: go to the Network system settings, click on Wi-Fi and click the "-" button to remove it, then add it again via the "+" button, connect to your network, and see if things then work.

Hope this helps.

What happens when you go to  > System Settings > General > Date & Time?

Are you unable to set it manually?

Once the Date and Time are correct you will get internet access. Your Wifi connection is simply the connection to your router and does not mean your router is connected to the internet. You can also try restarting your router.

Here are the settings I have for Date & Time. If you need to manually set it, you will have to shut off the automatic switch.
