Can my MacBook Pro 9.2 and Catalina 10.5.7 be upgraded to newer OS?

I have the MacBook and Catalina software listed above with Hardware UUID: 894D73B4-C819-5274-997C-59AAB674F066. Can I upgrade to a new OS so I can download/run the apps that I need?(e.g., Sheets, Pages, and Keynote or Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Thank you for any useful information.

A model identifier of "MacBookPro9,2" indicates that you have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012). For that Mac, Catalina is the end of the line.

Catalina is no longer one of the "most recent three" – and as you have discovered, is too old to run many current applications. I believe it is enough to run current versions of

These might help to substitute for some of the Apple, Microsoft, and Adobe applications that you cannot get. Or you might decide that it is time to replace that old MBP. 12 years is a long time in computer terms.
