FCP 10.8.1 - Border Effect

Trying to make a photo slideshow with FCP 10.8.1.

Can't find the border effect.

Does it still exist or has it been replaced with something else.

Just learning FCP for first time.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.6

In the Effects window select Stylise/Frame.

The frame can be of different textures/colours and different sizes.

This is one of many.

In the Stylise tab there is also the fully customisable Simple Border that may be more suited to your requirements.

The Simple Border does not work correctly with cropped images, so if you have them you can use the workaround shown here.
