Open and Save Panel Service not working in MacOs Sequoia

Goodafternoon,

Since the new update (Sequoia) every time a browser or an application needs to open the finder to:

- select which file(s) to upload

- select where to save a file

- select a file to open

the system becomes unresponsive and keeps loading. It continues for more than a minute, and 95% of the time it just gives up and interrupts the attempt. It is getting really annoying.

From Activity monitor the process that is involved is the "Open and Save Panel Service"

Has anyone found a solution, or experienced the same bug?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 15.0

This is kind of a general method to fix Finder related problems. After completing these steps, Finder will create a new plist file for itself.

Try deleting the Finder preference File.

In Finder, press Command-Shift-G and paste this

~/Library/Preferences/

Delete: com.apple.finder.plist

Drag the file to the trash, then force-quit the Finder, or log out and back in.

Force Quit: Click Apple logo in upper left menu or key ‘option + command + esc’
