shrinking keyboard on the new ipad mini.

How do you shrink the keyboard on the new ipad mini? its practially usekess! the key board covers the entire screen! and I can onlynuse one finger to type.

Thank you. I did like at this link before posting. This is the new model A17 pro mini. And apparently it doesn’t work the same.
