Unauthorized charges on my account

On oct 15 I got a notification for 2 purchases trying to be made to PlayStation, 1 for $54.11 was trying to be made with my cards, cash app and Apple Cash and then I was charged 53.69 not just me but my mom also got charged 5 times for 53.69 going to PlayStation while she was at work. I called PlayStation they don’t see any Purchases made for 53.69, told me to call apple…I got on my PlayStation account and I don’t see anything that was bought, and there no kids around, I only see these purchases trying to be made on my Transaction history, I contact apple I gave proof, pictures, my time my effort into this just to check my email…and I was Denied…I never purchased anything I wasn’t even on the game, my mom was charged 5 times and she was at work it was the last I had and all I was told is “ I’m sorry I know this is frustrating” ma’am you don’t know what frustrating is when that money is supposed to last you for a emergency situation and it was randomly stolen from you to god knows where and to be one of your great customers it made me feel like someone thought I was liar not to mention going to send me a letter telling me WHY they denied me for the situation…I could literally cry typing this it’s my birthday and that’s my money that’s just gone into the dust somewhere and PlayStation don’t see anything. Like I really just Lost my money to nothing…..Thank you ☹️🥺.

It is confusing when you say your Apple Pay card, because there is no Apple Pay card. Apple Pay is simply a method to securely make a transaction from a card in your Wallet to a business without providing them the cards actual account number. You can use any card in your Wallet to make an Apple Pay transaction. There is no Apple Pay transactions history, each card in your wallet has its own transaction history.

To verify it was an Apple purchase, review your purchase history and your subscriptions here:

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

You can also contact Apple directly to see if it is a legitimate transaction:

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

What happens more frequently is that your physical card has been compromised. This occurs when your card is used at a terminal that has a skimmer/shimmer installed to read your card numbers. Scammers use the description of well known companies in hopes you will not dispute the charges. Banks will post those fraudulent charges that were made to your phone in the Wallet app like any other transaction. Users will see this and assume the charge came from their phone, when actually it did not. It depends on your bank what transaction information they post to your Wallet. These scams are common as can be seen here:

This is the information needed to determine how you should proceed:

  • What card do you see the transactions on? Apple Card, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Apple Cash card?
  • What is the exact description of the charge?
  • Do you see the charge in your Purchase History?
  • Do you see a subscription for that amount?
  • Did Apple confirm that they were legitimate charges made on your account?
