Where is my ultra wide screen?

I plunked down almost $4,000 in large part for the ultra wide virtual Mac screen. It was announced back in WWDC and promised in visionOS 2. Still not there! Come on. I paid for it!

As it says here, the feature isn’t available yet and will be in later updates. Not all feature announced at WWDC get released during the yearly update (visionOS 2). These features will be released in newer versions. (E.g.: visionOS 2.1) Apple usually says this during WWDC and it’s also available on the preview website right after the event.

I think yes? Not sure how every website works in Safari. Not applicable to the Mac Virtual Display feature, which provides a large display for your computer. It already supplies a great, large virtual display.

The enhanced version of the feature is double wide and wraps around. It’s actually the latter feature I look forward to myself. The problem with enormous flat displays (anarchic throwback due to manufacturing real displays) is the corners are way further away and not facing the eyes. Curved displays provide pixels facing all facing you and all the same distance. It’s just software. It also doesn’t imply any additional computer power because the AVP is already displaying in that coordinate space for everything.

As a developer, I am mystified that this feature is so late. They could easily have provided the latter feature long ago and I would certainly be patient for the double wide version.
