I dropped a single AirPod in boiling hot water for probably 30 seconds ish, and immediately dried the exterior. I tried to connect it to my phone so I could use a water eject sound. But it wouldn’t connect, so right now it’s sitting in white rice. Is there any chance that it survives?
Hello~ Do you have any bags of desiccant? I would take them out of the rice as the dust will only cause more damage. It’s likely as *Mac Jim ID* suggests that you will be buying a new set.

You might be out of luck. One of my AirPods had not been able to charge since it had gotten washed and now the case is having a faulty error. You can try using this link of how to clean it. About the sweat and water resistance of AirPods Pro, AirPods 3, and AirPods 4 (both models) - Apple Support.

The whole rice thing is a myth. Rice won't help at all and may actually make things worse.
Nobody here can predict the outcome. In most cases, that would be a death sentence, but do you feel lucky?
I think so, because It just turned back on. I’m letting it charge for now. I’ll update with the sound quality later.
