iphone 16 pro, no .5x option in Cinematic mode

Google and AI say you can use the .5x lens with iphone 16 pro. I see videos on YouTube of people showing videos they say they have shot with the .5x lens in Cinematic mode. But on my phone only 1x and 2x appear as options. I have been to the Apple store 3 times (including a Genius bar appointment) and they say they aren't even sure if the Cinematic mode can use the .5x lens...but they aren't sure.

Cinematic mode doesn't use the .5 camera. Cinematic mode doesn't really rely on any specific camera as it's intent is to create shallow depth of field and focus to create videos with movie like qualities.
