Macbook air m2 can't recognize external monitor.

macbook air m2, macos 15.0.1.

When I connect LG UP850N with a type-c cable, it usually doesn't receive a signal. I restart, unplug, and insert the capable several times, then it works. As soon as it's connected, the display works very well. But when I turn off mac and reconnect it, the old problem happens again.

I tried connecting to other monitors, it has no problem.

Recent versions of macOS reportedly do not like to see transmission errors, and will reduce display resolution or shut off the signal to a display when they see any.

Make sure that you are using a cable that is designed to carry display data. Also avoid using cables that are a lot longer than necessary. I'm not sure of exact lengths, but a two or three foot cable might work where a six or nine cable fails.
