Continue to use a paid app on an older ipad

Hi, I have purchased a new iPad and my old iPad, I wish to use for a music sheet app for and nothing else other then background music

Can I restore the iPad and then just redownload the app?

And if so will that remove all the data in it?

I may not have explained it very well but the app works fine and rather then just letting the old iPad collect dust, I thought I would use it with just this one app on it…..

any help 🤗

Generally if you restore a device, you lose all the data related to the apps, and even if you can make a backup in advance, when you recover from that backup, everything is reloaded (not just that app and its data).

In your situation, if possible, I would contact that music sheet app's developer/support team and talk to them to get the best advice on what to do.
