Unable to upgrade my iPhone 12 software to iOS 16.4

my phone shows that it is an iOS 15.6.1 but i cannot upgrade it to 16.4 so i can install some stuff that require 16.4 what should i do ?

It is NOT possible to update any iPhone to iOS 16.4. iOS 16.4 hasn't been signed for close to two years now. The Authors phone can ONLY be updated to the current version of iOS which is 18.0.1.

You cannot update your iOS software to an obsolete version. Update to the current iOS version.

An iPhone 12 can update to iOS 18. Since you are way behind on updating, you may need to use your computer to do the update.
