iMac Late 2015 Screen going black

While using desktop, screen will go black. Still can hear audio. If I press any key, the screen comes back. Is happening frequently now. Been happening for several months, but is increasing in occurrence. Running Monterey 12.7.6 (no longer updates), 4 GHZ Quad-core Intel i7, 16 GB Memory, 2T storage

Try Apple > System Preferences > Energy Saver > Power > set "Turn display off after" slider for more Time.

If the display off time does't help...?

Reset the the iMac's SMC and NVRAM

see > Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

and then > Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

I went in and set the energy saver to prevent your mac and turn display off after 1 1/2 hr. Will see what happens. The default had it at 10 min., put hard disks to sleep when possible, wake tor network access, and enable power nap. However, it shouldn't go to sleep while I'm working on it and still have audio in the background, I wouldn't think.
