I have recently (as in last 2 weeks) been having problems trying to upload images, png files, jpg, keep getting the spinning color wheel, and nothing happens. This is happening in programs such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Firefly. Nothing happens at all, it just reverts back to the page I was working on .

I suspect the issue is your modem and router, the first thing to try is simply unplugging both of them and then restarting. Then restart the computer and test.
BTW, do you have any of the following third party apps installed on your Mac?
• Antivirus Apps
• Cleaning Apps
• Security Apps
• VPN Apps
• Maintenance Apps
