RAM compatibility for iMac memory upgrade

I am thinking of purchasing a new iMac in next couple of weeks to replace my Mid-2011 iMac which obviously is obsolete/non-Update-able.

My old iMac has 2 x 2gb RAM & 2 x 4gb RAM of 1333 MHz PC3-10600 DDR3

QUESTION: Would I be able to add the 2 x 4gb RAM from my old iMac to the new iMac so as to save a few quid?

No, all Macs made after the 2020 27" do NOT have user upgradeable RAM. When selecting a new Mac please take the time to purchase a Mac with the correct amount of RAM at purchase. If you decide on a new 24" iMac as of today (10/28/2024) all new 24" iMacs come with a minimum of 16 GB of RAM, where as the 2021-2023 iMacs only had only 8 GB.
