Whenever I plug my Apple iPhone 15 ProMax into my 2019 Chevy Equinox and try to use Apple CarPlay, the infotainment system freezes up and reboots itself. The updates are current with both the Chevy and with my phone (18.1).

Ended up Chevy has a software release for these infotainment systems. Dealer did the update 2 weeks ago and iOS 18 works great with CarPlay in the 2019 Chevy Equinox now.

Similar issues with our Chevy 18 & 19 Equinox. iPhone 14s in ios18 crash the infotainment system, phones on iOS 17 are fine. Any navigation app (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze) immediately crash, sometimes use of Music or Siri crash it as well. We have a support ticket with Apple but no answers yet. Chevy dealer is saying no car firmware updates available. Very frustrating. Even completely wiped and reset one phone as new without no change.
It’s VERY frustrating, and my son’s iPhone SE (2020), worked fine when plugged in.
