Duplicate and Triplicate Clips in Final Cut Pro library

Hello,

Does anyone know how to remove duplicate and triplicate clips from a final cut pro library?

I had to do multiple imports to my current library, and every time I did a new import, FCPX imported the same clip again and didn't detect that the clip had been already imported.

So no I had duplicate and triplicate clips and its really slowing my edit down.

First you need to find out if the duplicates are in the browser only or if the media is duplicated. Right click on one of the clips and use Reveal in Finder. If there’s one media file or multiple media files?

In the browser select the duplicate and press command-delete. You may get a media moving to trash warning. That appears when the last clip using the media is being deleted.

Work your way through the browser removing the duplicate.
