Traveling internationally & no full update?

I am on an overseas assignment for six months. I have been eagerly awaiting iOS 18.1 and especially the AirPods Pro 2 hearing Health features. I did not find the country I am in on the list of currently supported countries. As a consequence my update to 18.1 did not include the Hearing Health features.

Am I really stuck without this feature until I return to my country or cross the border to a supported country? Is there a way to get the full update without doing what I mention in the previous sentence? Seems weird given my Apple account detail, residence / address, etc..

Any features that provided regulated health benefits must be approved for use by the countries where the feature is offered. Apple cannot offer such features outside of those countries. See AirPods Pro 2 - Hearing Health - Apple

Note 2 on that link:

The Hearing Protection feature works with AirPods Pro 2 with the latest firmware when paired with a compatible iPhone, iPad, or Mac with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, or macOS Sequoia and later. Feature is only available in the U.S. and Canada.

Thank you for the reply.

Can you tell me when I return to the US will the feature automatically be available or must I update. If I must update how will I get the full update when my current version is 18.1 minus the hearing health features.
