Pictures cut on iMovie on iPhone 13 pro max

I am trying to create a video with pictures only and my pictures are cropped! I tried to select a picture in the timeline and zoom in/out but I don‘t have the magnify glass on the top right like I read in many discussions.

What can I do to fix that?

I have a iPhone13 pro max and just updated the app (Version 3.0.3 (5815.45.84).

Thank you

I'm not that familiar with iMovie for iPhone. However, it appears that the zoom-in, zoom-out, feature exists for videos but not for photos.

If you have a Mac, you could use Photos for Mac to create a one-photo slideshow, using the Classic theme, that you can export to your desktop as a video. That turns the photo into a video. Then import the video into your

iPhone iMovie. That should give you the zoom out option as with any other video. I tried it myself and it worked.
