I woke up this morning and one of my HomePod Mini's is flashing orange.
The software on the HomePod Mini is 18.1
I plugged it in to my Mac Studio and reset it to factory settings but the flashing orange persists.
It is plugged into the same USB-C power adaptor that came with it and worked fine for months up until last night, so it's not a power issue. I confirmed this by plugging in another HomePod Mini on 17.7 software which works fine.
What to do?

When you tested the other Mini did you test it with its own adapter or this one? Try another adapter on this mini
Same wall outlet/socket as well I assume? Plug directly into the wall to test as opposed to a Power Strip extension cord. I don’t know what else this could mean. Do you think it happened after updating to 18.1? My minis updated fine.
You might need to reach out to Apple to see if they can resolve it. Or replace if still under warranty.
It's definitely related to the 18.1 update. It worked fine the day before, updated automatically overnight, flashing orange in the morning.
I have tried multiple restores, and multiple power adaptors. This is so annoying.

If an orange light shines on and off repeatedly on the top of HomePod mini, then HomePod mini is connected to a computer, or is plugged into a power adapter that isn’t rated 20W (9V ⎓ 2.22A).
Plug your HomePod mini into power using a 20W (9V ⎓ 2.22A) adapter.
I've already confirmed that it's plugged into the power supply that came with it when I bought it. It is not a power issue.
I used the same adaptor for both mini's. Power is not the issue.
