So i recently got a new iphone and still have my old one (the one i was using before the new one) and since i dont charge it anymore it dies i was wondering if leaving it with 0% for a long time (without charging then leaving it back to 0%) will it make the battery bad or will nothing happen?

Yes. Lithium ion batteries do NOT deal well with being left without a charge for long periods.
