from apple music app, when I search for a song/album in tunes store, no results show. Below is the screenshot.

I have exactly the same issue, it has been doing it for last month or so. For me it is exclusive to the iTunes Store, searches show up in both "Apple Music" and "Your Library".
This is specific to the Windows version too. It works perfectly on my iPhone so it is now account related.
Same here. Apple Music and Library are fine, but iTunes store results come up blank. Even when I select something from Top Albums, the album cover will show up, but there are no songs listed.
Can still access iTunes store through my old iPod touch, but the Windows app is simply not working.
